Just a reminder that our “Remembering our Babies” walk in participation with National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is Wednesday, Oct. 15th. Meet on the steps of the Rockingham County Courthouse in Harrisonburg between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.. We will start the announcements and walk at 7.
Feel free to decorate small paper bags for luminaries and bring them with you. If you need sand or candles for your luminaries, we will have some on hand. We plan to place the luminaries on the steps of the courthouse before the walk.
Please note: We will not carry candles around the square like we did last year.
If you want to make pregnancy and infant loss awareness signs or signs in memory of a baby(ies) to carry as we walk, that is encouraged!
We will have awareness bracelets for sale the evening of the walk for $3 each. One in four women experience miscarriage, pregnancy, or infant loss. Our goal is to create awareness and a safe space for conversation, understanding, and ultimately, healing.
We have also posted the October newsletter on our newsletter page.
