Join us as we participate in The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony to honor the memory of our children, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 7 pm. Plan to gather by 6:30 at River Oaks Church in Harrisonburg (behind the old Shoneys.) Please feel free to bring pictures or mementos of your child/children to place on the remembrance table. We also encourage you to bring family and friends to celebrate your child with you and a snack to share following the ceremony.
Our service will consist of several readings, a song written and performed by Jessie Trainum, and a bereaved sibling dance choreographed and performed by Alaina Erbaugh and Taryn Zander. Anyone who wishes to do so will be invited to come forward and light a candle in memory of a child. They may also share their child’s name if they so choose. We will have a slideshow presentation with photos /names/dates of the children we are remembering together. To submit your child’s photo, name, and date, please send a jpeg file to tanya@sadierosefoundation.org. If you would prefer, you may send a photo to represent your child, a teddy bear, an angel, a flower, whatever is meaningful to you.

On this second Sunday of December around the world at 7 pm in their respective time zones, bereaved families will be lighting candles to honor the memory of their children. This event initiated by The Compassionate Friends, creates an international 24-hour wave of light as a memorial to our children.

If you have any questions, please contact Regina at regina@sadierosefoundation.org or 540-421-6458.
