In place of our May 11 support meeting, we invite you to join us at the Dayton Town Council Meeting for a rezoning request. The council will vote on whether or not to rezone the house located at 195 Main Street Dayton specifically for use by the Sadie Rose Foundation. This incredible           opportunity is being offered to us for the same monthly rent we currently pay for two rooms at 206 Main Street. Wear your 5K shirts if you have one. We will NOT have our regularly scheduled support meetings for the month of December! Please see this list for December events. However, one-on-one support, person-to-person, texting, email, and Facebook is available at ANY time! Contact our office or see the list of peer support parents on page 2 of our November December 2014. Our regular support meeting schedule resumes in January 2015.

Just a reminder that our “Remembering our Babies” walk in participation with National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is Wednesday, Oct. 15th. Meet on the steps of the Rockingham County Courthouse in Harrisonburg between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.. We will start the announcements and walk at 7.

Feel free to decorate small paper bags for luminaries and bring them with you. If you need sand or candles for your luminaries, we will have some on hand. We plan to place the luminaries on the steps of the courthouse before the walk.… Read the rest

Meet on the steps of the Rockingham County Court House

Gather family and friends, church groups, and social groups for this casual awareness walk around Court Square to raise awareness for pregnancy and infant loss.

This event is free, but donations are appreciated!

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness bracelets for sale at our office throughout October and at the event.

Candlelight Ceremony December 8th

We will host our annual Candlelight Ceremony December 8th at 7 p.m. at Sunrise Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg. This event is in coordination with The Compassionate Friends’ Worldwide Wave of Light. This is to remember and memorialize children of any age who have died and for grandparents, parents, siblings, family and friends. To submit a photo for the remembrance slideshow, email a JPEG photo to office@sadierosefoundation.org along with the name of the child you are remembering, their date of birth and date of death.
