Due to inclement weather, our Candle Lighting Ceremony will be POSTPONED until Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Sunrise Church of the Brethren.

Today, Sunday, is the date of the Worldwide Candle Lighting initiated by The Compassionate Friends. We invite you to still take part in the Worldwide Wave of Light by lighting a candle in your home at 7 p.m. and allowing it to burn for one hour. You can also visit the Compassionate Friends website to leave a message to your child/grandchild/sibling in the memorial notebook read and shared around the world by fellow bereaved families.… Read the rest
As shared in our December 2013 newsletter, because of our Candle Lighting Remembrance Ceremony and the busyness of the season we will NOT be having the First Thursday Miscarriage Support Meeting or the Second Monday Bereaved Parents Meeting or the Fourth Friday Bereaved Family Meeting in the month of December. All meetings will resume their normal schedules in January 2014.

Join us as we participate in the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony to honor the memory of children gone too soon. Sunday, Dec. 8th, 7 p.m. at Sunrise Church of the Brethren 1496 S Main Street Harrisonburg. Please bring a snack to share following the ceremony and if you would like, a memento or photo of your child for the Remembrance Table.
The service will include:

* A reading
* A song
* A personal story
