Friday, June 28, 2013, The Sadie Rose Foundation will host our annual Memorial Picnic and Balloon Release at Purcell Park in Harrisonburg, 6 p.m. We are in the first shelter when you enter the park across the field from the big playground.
Bring your family and friends and a side-dish and/or dessert to share. Drinks, table service and some biodegradable balloons provided. After we eat, we write messages on balloon to our children gone too soon and release them together. This is a beautiful way to remember our children with others who understand.… Read the rest

Today’s photo subject: Signs! This sign is one of the most amazing miracles I have ever experienced. Fortunately, there was a wonderful photographer, Traci White, on hand to capture the moment. We were all set to begin our First Annual (October 15th) Remembrance Walk in Grottoes, VA, when a thunderstorm blew in. We were unsure as to whether or not the walk would actually take place when the clouds parted and a brilliant rainbow touched down between two empty infant swings in the park playground! The second photo is during one of our Annual Memorial Picnic and Balloon Releases.… Read the rest
