Join us as we participate in the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony to honor the memory of children gone too soon. Sunday, Dec. 8th, 7 p.m. at Sunrise Church of the Brethren 1496 S Main Street Harrisonburg. Please bring a snack to share following the ceremony and if you would like, a memento or photo of your child for the Remembrance Table.
The service will include:
* Welcome and announcements
* A reading
* A song
* A personal story
* A slideshow of children’s photos submitted by guests.(See submission details below.)

We will host our annual Candlelight Ceremony December 8th at 7 p.m. at Sunrise Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg. This event is in coordination with The Compassionate Friends’ Worldwide Wave of Light. This is to remember and memorialize children of any age who have died and for grandparents, parents, siblings, family and friends. To submit a photo for the remembrance slideshow, email a JPEG photo to firstname.lastname@example.org along with the name of the child you are remembering, their date of birth and date of death. Friday, June 28, 2013, The Sadie Rose Foundation will host our annual Memorial Picnic and Balloon Release at Purcell Park in Harrisonburg, 6 p.m. We are in the first shelter when you enter the park across the field from the big playground.
Bring your family and friends and a side-dish and/or dessert to share. Drinks, table service and some biodegradable balloons provided. After we eat, we write messages on balloon to our children gone too soon and release them together. This is a beautiful way to remember our children with others who understand.… Read the rest
