Unique Opportunity for SRF Families

Please read for a rare opportunity for our local families! If you do participate, we’d LOVE some photos for the newsletter and maybe some thoughts about what this meant to you!

The following comes from Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport. ” I wanted to reach out to your organization regarding an opportunity with a non-profit organization called Fly-Hope-Dream. Like The Sadie Rose Foundation, this organization was founded after the terrible loss of a child with the goal of offering support, hope and once in a lifetime flight experiences. Fly-Hope-Dream is beginning a coast-to-coast journey on Thursday and we have been told they will be at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport at some point this weekend (depending on how long they are at the first few stops) and hope to offer flights onboard a beautiful 1942 Stearman bi-plane to families in our community who have experienced the loss of a child. You can find more information at http://www.fly-hope-dream.org/ and https://www.facebook.com/Fly.Hope.Dream. Interested families can contact Fly-Hope-Dream directly to reserve a flight at contact@fly-hope-dream.org.” You can also learn more atShenandoah Valley Regional Airport.

October Newsletter and Bazaar Flier

Our October 2015 Newsletter is filled with information about upcoming events, a heartfelt thank you note, and opportunities for you to weigh in on coping with grief during the holidays and how to deal with guilt as bereaved parents and siblings. We look forward to receiving your responses! Click here to read our October 2015 newsletter or visit our newsletter page.

A reminder that the Dayton Autumn Celebration was postponed until this Saturday so we are baking Thursday morning (Oct 8) during coffee time. You are also welcome to bring already baked items to contribute! We will be making doughnuts Saturday morning at the Sadie Rose House and could use volunteers to help with doughnuts and set up for the bake sale. Help as early as 6 am is much appreciated!

Details about our Remembering our Babies Walk Oct. 15th is in the newsletter as well as details for our second annual Holiday Shopping Bazaar. Here is a flier for you to print and share with family, friends, co-workers, businesses, and churches, or contact our office for hard copies.

Looking forward to seeing you at the many upcoming opportunities to be together.
