Thanks to all 120 of our participants in the second annual Sadie Rose 5K, held Saturday, June 15, in Dayton. Congratulations to overall winners Nevin Heckman and Miranda Hartman. Six new age group records were set, including Ethel Kimmell, breaking her own course record in the 30-39 division; Mary Jo Heckman, in the 50-59 division; and Neil Riemenschneider, in the 50-59 division. Reba Kline set the first age group record in the 60-69 division, and Roger Atkins smashed the previous course record for the 70-plus age group by more than 30 minutes.
First through third-place finishers in 16 age divisions were awarded roses. First-place finishers selected from an array of gift certificates donated by our sponsors. Second and third-place finishers chose from gift certificates for wings or ice cream.

Thank you for all your support in the past. We are at a place where we need funds to continue for the next month. (April.) At this point we offer all our support and services free of charge, because we do not want to add possible financial stress to someone who needs support after the death of a child. If you are able to donate, please do so by clicking on the donate button at your left. (Or you can mail a check to SRF P.O. Box 382 Dayton, VA 22821.)
You can also donate in memory of a child. We will send a card to that family letting them know a donation was made in their child’s memory. Any amount helps. We rely solely on donations to offer this support. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for helping us continue this important outreach to our community… because the path of grief after losing a child should never be walked alone.
