Carole Persinger

Board Chair

Carole was born in Rockingham County and has spent the better part of life living here in the valley.  She graduated from Eastern Mennonite University, She has worked in the real estate industry for over ten years, and is currently the Director of Growth Development at Harman Realty Inc. She is a member of the Harrisonburg Rotary Club and an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to obtaining a real estate license she homeschooled her daughter, started a local small business with her husband-which is still in operation and continuing to grow each year, and owned and operated a local vintage/antique shop that grew from a hobby into a business.

Currently she resides on a small homestead in Singers Glen, with her husband, Barry, and has one adult daughter, Alexandrya.  In her free time, she enjoys being outside with her animals, spending time with family and friends, traveling, snorkeling, and finding vintage furniture and antique rugs. She’s also a bit of an adrenaline junkie who enjoys zip lining and skydiving.   When time allows, she enjoys volunteering for various charitable organizations.

Since learning about the Sadie Rose Foundation, Carole knew she wanted to be involved in some way and to help increase awareness of how vitally important the organization is to our community.

Philip Haddad

Director

Philip moved to the area from Pittsburgh PA to attend Eastern Mennonite University. He has come to the Shenandoah Valley since childhood to attend annual family reunions, and decided this would be an ideal place to raise a family. Philip is married to Rachel, who is also heavily involved with non-profits, currently A Family For Every Orphan, they have three boys, one dog, and four cats. Philip is a financial advisor, invested in his church, and loves serving the community through organizations such as the Sadie Rose Foundation.
